has anyone heard of this product?

    Selk Bag? http://www.lippiselkbag.co.uk/

i was searching ebay for a new sleeping bag and this popped up. I can't imagine it could be warmer than a mummy bag, but i'd wager that it's probably more comfortable (especially in a hammock). makes me think of gloves vs. mittens tho.

There's another post about a similar suit/bag ... lot of bulk for what it is.

I had a nightmare about a bag like this...
the nightmare involved me and a midnight nature's call...I couldn't figure my way out, then I was wet and froze till morning!

    Watch www.outdoordaily.com

They show up at a discount on there somewhat regularly. They've been reviewed here somewhere and while they seem to serve a purpose they don't seem terribly well received by the folks who have reviewed them.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    TellyTubbies !!!!!!

I have one , And actually love it. but I have the 1 which weighs in at a hefty 2kg or so , The difference between the 1 and the 2 is minimal and the 3 which is down temp wise is about the same but weighs about 1.3kg. So useless for any colder temperatures however i feel trapped inside a sleeping bag so this is great. An early hours call of nature is much nicer not having to climb out of a warm sleeping bag but as the front does zip down it does involve some careful aiming. For the weight and price there are much warmer and lighter sleeping bags out there. I have yet to try a under/top quilt without a sleeping bag so i guess that will be more confortable again.

But it works for me until i find something better which isnt a sleeping bag

The feet are skined in a heavier material but it wont last long if you start wandering round the camp in it , My wife has claimed it now its winter and wears it in the house Oh and i have been described as a big green teletubby ( not sure if the US was spared from tellytubbies , google it if you are curious )
    Cheers

Quick. Retract that tellytubbies comment or you might end up with a new trail name!

I just shows I am a day late and a dollar short. Last year while on a scout trip, one of the leaders and I developed the idea for a very similar product. We dubbed it the "Slumber Suit" and had envisioned it to look a lot like the Michelin man.

I have looked a little more at the different versions , Thinking was i right with the temp ratings , and yeah they are all about the same give or take , they just get slightly lighter as the price goes up

They have just released a kids version (150 and 165cm) so junior can look just as rediculous as dad

Given my build at the moment teletubbie would actually be a good trail name
