    Pain in the back

I swapped out my tablecloth hammock for a larger Yukon Outfitters Doublenest a few nights ago. I have since developed a pain in the left lower part of my back. I have not swapped out the suspension yet, so it's stock. To hang it from my attachment points I'm using the ropes supplied with GT Ultalight. I'm thinking my hang angle might be off as I have the hammock sag set right where I like it. Any thoughts?

Is the new hammock material thicker or thinner?
I get better support with thicker materials.

A suspension is a suspension as long as it does not stretch I don't see that doing anything.

I don't understand what you are saying here.

I believe most adjust hammock sag to reduce calf ridge pressure.

Are you using a ridgeline with the hammock? If not, maybe you're pulling the hammock too tight. I noticed a similar issue with my JRB BMBH and some suggested that I might have been pulling it too flat.

I get better support with thicker materials.Thinner material. The hammock is made from a parachute nylon, the table cloth hammock is a bit heavier crinkled taffata

No calf ridge pressure. I did have a ridge though with the other hammock, but it never bothered me. I swapped the hammock because of shoulder squeeze. Looks like I swapped one issue for another.

I have a fixed ridge line installed. I have a ridgeline on every hammock I use. It could be I didn't set enough sag.

I've been sleeping on my deck for the last 10 days since the weather has changed from fall to winter.
Some nights thru moving around, when asleep, my pillow might shift and hold me in a weird position
which has given me a neck or back pain for the day.

Was this a one night thing or is it getting worse?

Started the other day. I don't use a pillow in the hammock. I did switch to my 20 degree sleeping bag though, I hung the quilt to air out in prep for an over nighter I was planning this weekend. The sleeping bag could be bunching up on my left at night. Never thought about that.
