    NX 150 suspension

I am just about certain I will be ordering the NX-150 on Friday. I noticed that most owners swap out the stock suspension. How did you swap it? This probably seems basic and obvious, but I am thinking of using whoopieslings and Clark does not offer that.
I doubt I will be hanging outside until Spring, but may try a dry run inside or at the local scout camp.

    Thanks.

The stock suspensive on a clark is a ridiculously large rope, very easy to change though. I just used a continuous loop on a d-ring then hook the whoopie sling to it. Just untie the stock rope, tie the continuos loop to it pull it through the end of the hammock and larks head the loop.

    Bingo!

The easy way is to tie your new suspension to the OEM rope and use the rope to gently pull the new suspension through the channel. In other words -- what he said!

Penfold, I switched mine out for Dutch straps. Easy. If you want to see them first hand reach out we can't be that far apart.

I, too, have the NX-150, and I also switched out the stock suspension for whoopies. (I ordered the all-in-one from whoopieslings.com).

The process is VERY easy. Whoopieslings has made videos for you to watch if you have problems.

Once you get the hammock and hold it in your hands, you'll understand just how easy the swap is.

Good luck with your purchase. I know that I am quite happy as well with my NX-150.

The suspension swaps out just like any other gathered end hammock.

Thanks for the input. I mistakenly said the NX-150, what I am getting is the TX-150. I assume same basic procedure to swap out suspension.

When you start out, and a basic hmmm costs $25-$50, you think of economical loops of re cycled cord, tied with a knot. You can do that with the polyprop rope Clark supplies.

Then, you progress to a spliced-in-place continuous loop of Amsteel off of the 100 feet you bought for $25.

A couple of years and hmmks later, you dedicate, for convenience, a $15 pair of carabiners.

I threaded a continuous loop through. Should I larkshead it or just attach both end to a carabiner?

    Thanks

Either way will work. What do you think of your clark?
