Dream-hammock.com used to make all their hammocks in 12' (including dangerbirds!)

Randy is awesome.... I have 10' and 11' and I can't tell a huge difference... width makes a much bigger difference for me. I have 4 hammocks and 3 are 11' and 1 is 10' but the 2 I use the most are both at least 65" wide

I'm 5'11", and I have a double grand trunk. It says it supposed to be 10'6" but when I measure its only 9'6". Is there a different hammock that is actually the length its advertised as?

I was about to ask the same for 12 footer. Seems like width for those not a gram counting orthodoxs tends to be in 60-65. Otherwise there was a post around here showing that you basically get a useless piece of fabric above that dimension that doesn't add to comfort.

Im with you on this question ... sort of ... is a 10ft hammock ten feet from end to end, or is it 10 usuable feet (taken from a point below the gathered ends)?

I have not had an 11 foot hammock, so I cannot compare. However, when my 10 foot hammock forms the "ridge", its due to a too tight ridgeline. When I adjust it, the ridge goes away. IMHO, ( and the opinion of Brandon from Warbonnet), when you lay in the hammock, you should be able to bend the ridgeline vertical 90*. I think when a ridgeline is too tight, it pulls on the center of the fabric, creating a tight ridge. These are just my observations from experimenting with my gear. I'm 5'10" and my 10 foot hammock is very comfy! YMMV

I have a 11' Dangerbird, it is huge. I would try to go with 10' if you think you would be ok in it.
