It took me three days to make this! Good use for leftovers of mno-see-um netting. Wanted to make one summerweight but something went wrong (ran out of down, so harvested it from old jacket without measuring the amounts). It came out about 7 cm thick... so, possibly I can use it this weekend
I like how down stays in place and doesn't shift.
Got fabric from local store, I had no assurance it was downproof and hoped for best. At home it came out it was DWR and probably windproof also.
Used template (is it right word? Cut out paper rectangle which had markings to mark right lines) to draw grid.
Dimensions were 90x160 cm, that explains extra part which can be seen on picture.
Next day, it had baffle material on.
On third day I used different template to draw grid, sorry, no pics of it.
Also had to do some stuffing...
And it was ready!
So, it has about 140 grams of 95% duck down and 60-100 grams of 80% goose down.
It's pretty thick.
Sad part is that it's going to be a present
So I'm going just to test it, not use it.
Though it's hard thing to make, it's god **** sexy!
