Does the gun ban on this sight make hunting trips taboo on this forum? How about archery?

I would like to know as well. Mainly, I hunt up here, that accounts for or is part of most of my outings. Where is the line so I don't cross it?

I think when you start arguing about the right to carry guns around in town, then you get out of bounds.
I don't own any firearms or bows, but for hunting people these are favorite topics of discussion. I must admit, I've seen some pretty ingenious gadgets for hunting. I just don't know anything about them.
The road to success is always under construction.

The ban is more aimed at direct firearm talk. What happens is someone starts a thread asking a question about carrying a gun in the woods, i.e. how to store it in the hammock or something, and then anti-gun or anti-gun in the woods people start up about how the person shouldn't be carrying a gun in the first place. Then the pro-carry people come to their defense and the original question gets completely lost in the now raging gun debate.

If you're talking about hunting that should be ok. If you're talking about your hunting rifle that is a no-no. At least that's how I interpret it, I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

    The topic should be hammock-centric.

Here is how I see it and I could be dead wrong.

If you are talking about how you set up your hammock/gear for a hunting trip, you are golden.

If you are talking about the weapon you use for your hunting trip then you are most likely going to get the thread closed.

    This is a hammock forum
