Backyard setup of my XLC 1.1dbl

So instead of letting my kids wrap up my XLC 1.1dbl, I got it all out and set it up in the backyard attached to some fence posts.

It was really nice. The craftsmanship seems perfect. I was a little alarmed at first thinking I didn't get a double layer as I was expecting it on the outside not inside. So once setup, I found the double layer opening on the inside!

My setup wasn't perfect but I think I'm ready for my sons scout backpack trip next month.

I let the whole family try out and they all loved it......not sure if I should have done that Maybe it will be to my benefit in the long run.

Initial feelings on my XLC is love it.

But I do have a question...what is best practice for securing my Dutch clips so I don't lose them?

    Thanks everyone.

For your Dutch clips just put a few hand stitches on the webbing close to the clip where it narrows.

My new xlc departed Hawaii yesterday which means it is on Guam now...hopefully I will be getting it tomorrow or Xmas eve, just in time to open my gift from Brandon...only time will tell. Congrats on your new setup. As you can tell mine is much anticipated as well. Have fun on your trip next month.

Thanks Bubba, you and Dutch gave me the same advice.

Before my trip next month, I will be doing some stitching.

Just a heads up. My son and I took our hammocks on a scout trip and the trials where many. Now half the troop and all the leaders are high and dry. This past summer all the leaders stayed in hammocks so now we have to look at summer camps with trees in the camp area. But, have a great time.
