Question on what I need to make my hammock like this

Something that has a pretty low stretch, especially when wet. I think a lot here use last it or zing it. There are several different configurations for stringing it up. Seems like most use either a separate line at both ends of the tarp or a continuous ridge line for the tarp. You should be able to find several threads on both of those methods here. =)

What type of separate ridge line should I use? Just any ole line?

Well, just to see if you like it try any old line you happen to have.

If you like it. We have an entire folder on different ridgelines. Easy to make lots of fun.

Porch mode is the only way to go. If its not a super hard rain I will leave my tarp in porch mode so I can enjoy the rain coming down.

I just use my hiking poles and extend the tie out lines as needed.
