What is the definition of a Cottage Vendor?
    Definition

An industry where the creation of products and services is home-based, rather than factory-based. While products and services created by cottage industry are often unique and distinctive given the fact that they are usually not mass-produced, producers in this sector often face numerous disadvantages when trying to compete with much larger factory-based companies.

    Yes...

First go to the home page of Hammock Forums

    Second click on Forum's

Third scroll down to Hammock Gear - Manufacturers and Services

    Fourth click on above

Fifth choose said hammock manufacture listed and read about what they sell and offer,

Their is also a review section where people share their experiences on how the gear worked out for them as well as their experience in dealing with said vendor.

Their a great group of people who all make excellent gear!!!

An excellent message! We need you guys more than you need us... The talents you all bring to our table might be more profitable used in other arenas, but you choose to apply them to something we all love so dearly!

I hope to become a customer to each and every one over the next two years... Each brings a unique piece to the puzzle.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of YOU!!! the Hammock Forums membership, that supports UGQ, JRB, HG, Dream Hammock, WB, Dutchware all the other GREAT vendors here on Hammock Forums. WITHOUT your support none of us would be were we are today. Missy & I certainly appreciate each and every customer that chooses to purchase from UGQ. It's a lot of long hours, longer weeks, and even longer months running a small business but hearing from folks about how much they appreciate our hard works makes it all worth it....
    Happy Hangin'

As both a consumer of cottage maker fare, and a maker of cottage products, I want to thank the cottage makers and the HF community for their support and their products.

Thank you to all the hammock folk of the old Whiteblaze forum and the new Hammockforums.net...In a scant 120 days the tenth aniversary of the JRB Nest, the first commercially available under quilt, will occur... It has been a great ride and a true pleasure to hang with so many of our customers thru the decade. Alway heart warming to be appreciated... Hope you feel the appreciation from the family of hammock vendors.

I am new to this hanging thing but I have been absolutely blown away with how available, patient and helpful these guys are to us newbies. I have backpacked for a number of years now. This experience is the first time I have gotten to talk or communicate directly with the people who make the stuff I am buying for me and my wife. It certainly has been a pleasant surprise to me as I make the transition from a tent.

as well I would like to thank whoever it is that runs this forum and all the members. I have been affiliated with a number of message boards. This one has the most positive tone of any other that I've been around and newbie questions are handled with grace and respect. Thanks to all.
