Sorry, I know this might be a stupid question, but I can't find the answer anywhere.

What is the definition of a Cottage Vendor?

Definition

An industry where the creation of products and services is home-based, rather than factory-based. While products and services created by cottage industry are often unique and distinctive given the fact that they are usually not mass-produced, producers in this sector often face numerous disadvantages when trying to compete with much larger factory-based companies.

Thank you to all the hammock folk of the old Whiteblaze forum and the new Hammockforums.net...In a scant 120 days the tenth aniversary of the JRB Nest, the first commercially available under quilt, will occur... It has been a great ride and a true pleasure to hang with so many of our customers thru the decade. Alway heart warming to be appreciated... I am new to this hanging thing but I have been absolutely blown away with how available, patient and helpful these guys are to us newbies. I have backpacked for a number of years now. This experience is the first time I have gotten to talk or communicate directly with the people who make the stuff I am buying for me and my wife. It certainly has been a pleasant surprise to me as I make the transition from a tent.

as well I would like to thank whoever it is that runs this forum and all the members. I have been affiliated with a number of message boards. This one has the most positive tone of any other that I've been around and newbie questions are handled with grace and respect. Thanks to all.
