We got the primitive site! While specifically available only to youth groups according to Dreher Island State Parks management and rules, we got a variance that's going to allow us to experience camping on Lake Murray at the end of a tree-covered peninsula!

Not only is this a unique opportunity to sweat your butt off with friends, but this hang is also where the annual vote for Palmetto State Hangers leadership takes place! If you're a donating member, let your voice be heard!

I'm bringing the solar shower and a hose. I'm gonna cool off one way or another. Got my battery operated fan too. I'm thinking I will not need an under quilt for this hot hang. tarp will definitely be in porch mode.

Good call on no underquilt - I won't be using one, either. Expect HOT. Fortunately, we're on the lake. Even better, we're on a peninsula so we SHOULD have some sort of lake breeze to cool us off.
