    Blackbird to the ground

I’ve wanted to try and put my Blackbird to the ground for a while now to see how well it would work. I did it just a short time ago.

It was a little bit of a pain to get the four corners staked out by myself but I managed.

I have included some pictures of the setup. Although the setup looks fine and pretty nifty it really will not work comfortably. The reason being is I lowered my hiking polls as low as they would go and if you look at the picture you will see that the still some curve to the hammock on each end. There is just enough curves so that you cannot lay flat on the ground and have the bottom of the hammock on the ground. It curves up enough on each end so you can feel it on your head and feet. I would not recommend using the BB are a ground dwelling unit. It might work is you are shorter the 5”9’ but it will not work for me.

I think you have to burn a hammock when it touches the ground. It's the law.

I am not going to burn my BB for no one. But I can assure it will not touch the ground again.

Ooooo, that's what we call a jinx around here.
Better start burning some incense and chanting or something; maybe a sacrificial chicken?

Keep dreaming. Once a person owns a BB they will never give it away.

Perfectly good trees in those pictures, and you're "laying down" your BB. That's like purposely laying down a bike, or putting a dent in your new car so you don't have to think about someone else doing it. You might as well just give it away now. You still have my address, right?
