That is Alaska, not Arkansas, no offense to "The Natural State" intended.
Anybody in Alaska like to hang around up here? I know someone is buying hammocks at REI, maybe they don't know HF exists.

I'll be up there for a month next summer...
I'm up by Fairbanks. I'm still working on getting gear together, so I'll be going again this spring. I managed to hang a couple of times last year solo, but definitely want to meet up with somebody else interested in hanging, especially so I can learn. My wife doesn't "do" the outdoors yet but I intend to convert her.
I used to, when I was stationed up there, long ago. Check with some of the troops at Ft. Rich and Ft. Wainright...or "JointBase Whateverthehelltheycallthemnow" I will bet some of them are hangers. Particularly amongst the infantry and Airborne Infantry units.

Planning on hanging somewhere around the bus on the stamede trail in a few months
I just recently moved up to Alaska from Oklahoma. I've had my hammock gear for a long while but have only hung a handful of times. I also have younger kids so that makes it difficult to get out sometimes. I'd be interested in meeting up maybe.
I'm hanging up here in Anchorage. Mainly in my yard or on field problems (-25 is my coldest hang). Got my wife and kids into it so we are looking forward to camping in some new areas this summer.
