Shug that was primo. Very good look at the frost bib. I'm going to copy your design for our Roan adventure. You didn't mention the Thermawrap pants ?? Looks like you didn't need them but wouldn't they have been an option?
    Anyway major kudos to arcticShug

Thanks MM. Looking forward to your adventure report.
I never sleep in the Thermawraps but if I get up to pee at 4 or 5am I may slip them on…then I am dressed for morning more or less. Just don't need them in the Pod System.

    You hath inspired me, Shug-O!!

I'm going to try a semi-pod'ish setup at our upcoming OR winter hang. It won't be much colder than low 20s to upper teens, but I'm still gonna give it a whirl.

Here's a link to a shot of my prep work, today.

Took very little modification. I just added two small tabs, one at the foot and one at the hood, and added shock cord tensioners (at the tabs) to keep it from sliding. The Exped Dreamwalker 450 is well suited to this mod, though I can't zip it all the way up because of how the shoulders are designed, darn it, but I think it'll do the job. And if I get real cold, I'll just switch to wearing the Exped.

    Thanks for the inspiration!!

That's awesome Shug, hope to one day be as knowledgeable as you on all of this stuff. Looks like it was a warm snug night.

    Super cool

Any suggestions on where I can get 2 decent (but nothing to fancy) trekking poles?

Thanks. Trekking poles can be found at any store with a camping dept. Walmart even. I bought mine at REI.
