    I need your professional help!

I am going to back and forth between the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC and the Dream Hammock Thunderbird. This will be my first hammock and was going to get the Kammok Roo until I found a post of here that listed the origins of the companies. Im a very patriotic man and love this great nation. I will send my money to an American made product any day. I have heard nothing but great things about Warbonnet gear and many people enjoy their Dream Hammocks. I will greatly enjoy your opinions as I am a noob and have no clue, just want to support our American businesses and get a product of great quality. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

    Hi Yankee,
Welcome to the forum. I to try an keep my money at home when ever possible.
On the two hammocks you listed it is a tough choice since IMO you have selected two of the best there is out there.

I went with Dreamhammock's because I could get a better zipper combo.
I like venting my top cover to reduce condensation and have a seperate set of zipper pulls to exit/enter the hammock.
It's a small thing but reaching over my head to open and close the XLC cover and bugnet with no option for additional
zipper pulls was why decided against that model.

My custom 11'x60" WinterGnome with extra zipper pulls.

I can see what you're talking about and really like that idea as well. This is going to become a very tough decision. I really like your set up and the material design. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum from NJ, i dont own either one of those hammocks but i do apreciate the fact that you are choosing to buy american, if you are intent on a gathered end hammock i have a few friends that have dream hammocks and the craftmanship is awesome on thier hammocks, if you were considering looking at bridge hammocks then i would definitly take a look at the warbonnit ridge runner, it is a sweet hammock and i have never heard a bad comment about one ever, good luck and Merry Christmas

You would probably be happy with either one. Because of the high resale value of lightly used gear here you could consider buying both and selling the one you don't want. Of course there is the risk that you'll keep both.

Sleeping in my Warbonnet Blackbird is blissful.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Good idea, you'd only stand to lose shipping from my experience watching the for sale forum here.
