What is the recommended way to hang a tarp?

I bought a Zpacks Cuben Fiber Hammock Tarp with doors on here a few weeks ago and finally got time to play with it today. I have a 8x10 Sil that I have zing-it tied to each end and Loopalians to tie off to the trees. I thought I'd try a continues ridge line on this one with a Dutch hook at one end and one of Dutche's Stingerz on the other end (also using zing-it). After I got it hanging it just seem like there should be a easier way. Having the ridge line where it is able to move the tarp ether way seemed like it would be great but it turned out to be a fight. Maybe I'm doing it wrong like most things I do. Is there a standard way to hang a Cuben Tarp? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i don't think there is any "standard" way to hang any tarp.....all comes down to personal preference, i myself like a 15' piece of zing it with a spliced eye larks headed to each end of the ridgeline with a couple of tarp flyz on each

one thing you do with cuben that is a bit different than sil is, there is no stretch with cuben so go ahead and crank it down tight to start with, no need for tensioners on the corners

There is no "standard" way to hang any tarp really its what ever works and keeps you dry. The easiest way I've found to get a tight RL with a cuben tarp is by using two separate tie outs on each RL point of the tarp. Using a continuous loop with a Dutch Tarp Hook threaded through it

(You will need two of these) http://dutchwaregear.com/dutch-hooks.html

Prussic knot it onto the RL tie out. Then when you wrap the tie out around the tree you just hook it onto itself with the hook on both sides of the tarp. This will allow you to have an adjustable tarp RL with out having it be continuous. Just the way I do it lots of different ways though.

Also I'd check out some Shug youtube videos. He has and shows so many ways to hang a tarps.
