Help: Adjusting Ridgeline on Hennessy Deep Jungle XL

I have a Deep Jungle XL zip which I've had a lot of trouble getting comfortable in. I love my Safari, but the DJ not so much. Anyway, the ridgeline sags so much the mosquito net is always in my face and I'm thinking that raising the ridgeline will solve a lot of problems. How do you adjust the ridgeline?

I am confused about your problem. What is the angle of your hang? How tight is the ridge line before you lay vs after you lay? What is the length of your ridge line?

Did you modify the ridgeline or is it the standard length?

If I remember right, in order to shorten the ridgeline you have to take loose one of the suspension ropes because the ridgeline is attached into it somehow. I think the end of the ridgeline is looped around the suspension line. It's not a big deal to do. I had to adjust mine when I swapped out the stock suspension for amsteel. After the suspension swap, I needed to shorten the ridgeline a little bit for the bugnet to fit better.

Of course, you could also install a ridgeline biner. Then you could easily lengthen or shorten at that point instead of dealing with the suspension.

I have the Deep Jungle and had the explorer previously. I haven't noticed any difference in the netting or comfort factor between the two. They both have the stock ridgeline. I think i remember that the the ridgeline was tied up in the end to a small loop (way up in the end).

If your ridge line is sagging you do not have the hammock tight enough.
    YMMV
