    Freebird Questions

Just hung my sonsw new Free bird for the first time. Loved it!!
    A few questions ( I am a New)
    1. Is there a head/ foot end on the Free bird?
    2. Can you lay either left of right on the Free bird?
    3. Cinch buckles seemed easy. With weight on the buckle, the strap.twisted slightly within the buckle. Is that normal or indication that I threaded it wrong? They never moved and I approach 200 lbs.
    4. I used a slippery half-hitch as a "safety". Is that normal? Does it
    Hurt anything?
    5. Until I get Dutch clips, does it hurt the strap to feed it through the loop to secure to the tree?
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

Afaik, Dream Hammocks are cut symmetrical - so you should be able to lay in it whichever way you like.

Don't have the cinch buckle, so can't say anything about it.

Feeding the strap through its loop doesn't hurt the strap. Clips and biners are only used because it's more convenient and faster.

I have used my thunderbird for almost a year with straps, never had any slippage problem. I slippery half hitch mine all the time just to use up the extra strapping. it never hurts to inspect the straps for wear anyways, same as you would with whoopie slings. if you are hanging at a regular length(like a hammock stand or backyard trees) I would check at the buckle point on the strap. that area will get used the most. (haven't seen any on mine). for the cinch buckle, just make sure you give it a good pull to "set" it. if it isn't tight it may loosen.
