    13' Ox Palace Tarp Review

Just spent a few happy and dry nights in my new custom Ox Palace from Ox Gear. The first night I set it up we had a mild rain and the second night we had a nice thunder storm for a day and a half and I slept dry and comfy all night. Sean makes a variety of hammock products that are top quality and very well made so when I needed a custom tarp, Ox Gear was the way to go. It has a 13' ridge line and a 15' bottom length for a variety of set ups.

With the use of Wilderness Logics tarp pole mod kit the Ox Palace has plenty of room closed off in storm mode.

    Views of the spacious interior

My dog Buddy camps with me so one end was made into a larger vestibule area to give him more space in bad weather conditions. The other end was brought out some for a larger dry area when closed. Both ends have a full length Velcro closure to keep them sealed.

In porch mode the Ox Palace is massive! I'm using tent poles at home and hiking poles on the trail for now but it has interior pole mode pockets so that when I get the poles this Spring it's really gonna open that baby up!

Check out Ox Gear if you're in the market for a new tarp, hammock or under quilt. Sean makes some great gear.

Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Nice tarp, what does it weigh? The camp chair by your hammock looks a little bulky though.

That qualifies as an Ox Barn. Glad to see it, I know you are happy with it, why not, with it custom designed and made. As for workmanship, Sean does not come in late, he makes some beautiful stuff, wait till you see my hammock he made.

That is ginormous, I am in Fairbanks and it is -45 right now and that thing looks downright cozy! Any chance you can fill in some details? The website is mostly useless except some pictures. Any chance you can ball park the cost as well?

    Massive. Great pics!
I see they offer a 7/8 Length UQ. That's something a little new.

No pricing. Check some boxes and we'll get back to you.

I think I may like that too. Of course it depends on final pricing, and response time to inquiries.

I'd like to see and hear more about their equipment.

The Ox Barn is a mere 12'er. This is a Palace.
