Noob from the UK says Hi

    Hi all,

Just a quick hello to you all.

I'm 47 and my wife recently gave birth to our beautiful baby girl.

Got a little panicky and ordered my a hammock

Use to do a lot a wild 'tenting' about 20 years ago; but never been in a hammock!

Why a hammock; hoping it is more comfortable than a tent, crushed L3 gives me a bit of bother sometimes.

Love reading the ingenuity and innovation on these threads

All the best to you and yours for 2014

    Cheers, Mark

Welcome to HF from Georgia! With a new baby at home your time in the wilds may be limited but happy hanging!
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I opted for a Hennessy Hyperlite with Explorer Tarp. Been speaking directly with Dutch at Dutchwaregear, so got lots of goodies to come. You find some places in the Peak? Off to the Lakes at the end of Jan ?

My 5week old has got a Hennessy Cub waiting for her

Welcome Chap, another UK hanger here, wild hanging in and around the Peak District National Park mostly, plans for canoe hammocking in Sweden next year, and maybe the Galloway Forest Park in late spring.

    Ah, plans...

Welcome from Texas. I get to Warrington every so often on business and I hope to have a weekend to camp there on my next trip. It is a lovely part of the country.

    Congrats on the new baby.
    Thanks,

    Mr. G

    welcome

Have you hiked/biked Hadrian's Wall yet? I loved it. We biked the western third then hiked the middle third. Really nice area. Wished we could have hhammocked it but the wives were with us and they don't camp.
