VIDEO: How Greg Builds a Hammock

When you hang your hammock do you have a slight bit of tension on the ridge line before you get into the hammock? Or is it very tight before you get in? Or perhaps very loose? This is strange.

So I took it back out today, and this is what is happening. I was able to slide it a little back, but the knot is not pulling up to the gather so I am getting an accurate RL.

That said the hammock is still super comfy, but man I need to bring a step stool to get a consistently high enough hang. The RL is waaaaaaay up there, so much so that an organizer would be way out of reach, and would have to have extenders on it to come down far enough for me to hang stuff in it. I could probably hang all my wet clothes on it and still lay in the hammock far below.

I think I might take a foot off this thing and change the RL, go with a 11.5 footer. Haven't decided.
