I may try and make the last 1 or 2 days of this if that'd be possible. I have my college graduation from VaTech on the 15th and 16th so I can't join from the start. I'll see what I can do

I think the plan is to get to Big Meadows for lunch on 5/17. That might be an easy to find meeting place.

Looking like rain in the forecast...bring your rain skirt. Dutch and I will be sporting ours <grin>

Griz is correct that the plan is to eat lunch at big meadows, also the plan is camp the night of the 17th at Rock spring hut. We are parking at old rag mt parking area. I'm thinking we can get you back to skyline dr 19th at lunchtime when we hike out.

    Congrads on graduation.

Thanks for the thoughts but I'm currently sitting in a library in Colorado Springs, CO and won't be home in time for your hike.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it. After a trip to the doctor today for a yearly physical I left with a stack of prescriptions and an appointment for another few doctors trips next week. Sorry I couldn't make it

Just left Colorado Springs heading for Estes Park. I'm not sure why Google isn't tracking me. I have been using my hammock just about every night and I thought for sure it would send signals strong enough for tracking me.

I did find out that you could rip a suspension strap box stitching if the door you have it smashed in is too tight a fit. Only dropped me a foot...I was hanging in the hotel room between the bathroom door and the main door. The biner was holding it outside the door and when the box stitching broke.....thump! I'll have to get the scoop from FishinFinn on how to do this correctly.

No stopping in the land of Cannibal on the way to EP? My feelings are hurt.
Just kidding. I bet Estes is looking quite nice right now. Everything is starting to green-up out here.
