Wes, I know I'll be there. I have an extra HH Expedition I could loan if needed. No insulation to go with it but a hammock in good standing. If the bugs aren't out I'll even give up my Explorer and sleep in my DIY digi camo.

Oh, and it were my first time to use the hammock, I wouldn't yield to the wife either. You gotta pick your moments. She'd rather get flowers maybe.

Thanks! I have several pads so I'm sure insulation shouldn't be a problem. I don't expect it to be too cold, but you never know. Lol. Really glad I found this group.

I had read about one in may at Cheaha on another thread and had plotted on my calendar already. Is this a separate hang you're speaking of?

Looks like a lot of options in that area. Very relived to see the sign post. Maybe (big maybe) I won't drive past it more than twice. Working on schedule now but we'll likely be there early afternoon on that Friday. Thanks for the photos. You the man!

It's not a big sign though. 6 . 5 miles from Al. highway 33. I' m shooting for Friday too. Maybe I can add some signage.

I won't be able to leave Huntsville until 430 pm on Friday. I won't get to Wolfpen until close to 630 pm.

I may see if MasterStrapper can get off work and head over on Saturday for an overnighter. We've used Randolph, Sipsey, and Thompson TH but never camped at Wolfpen. Will anyone be camping in the Sipsey Saturday night? It wouldn't be hard to get to some good spots north of Randolph.
