2014 Arkansas Ozark Hang - March 14-16

We had a great time also, hated we left as quick as we did. After the Game and Fish lady came by talking about 6" of snow my wife was ready to pack it all up. We went and hike around at Alum Cove before going home so it wasn't a total lose.
It was cool meeting so many of you, I still have a hard time putting names with faces though.
I know I'm defiantly getting a Honeymoon Suite from Smokehouse. Those are too nice!

Forgot to mention that this was my wife's first ever overnight trip in a hammock and she liked it except for her underside was a little cool. Turns out I didn't cinch up the ends of her underquilt. Guess I'll never live that down. :-)

This trip was awesome! Already planning to get back up there when it warms up a bit to do a float trip. By far my favorite trip to date. This is one of my favorite pictures I got Thursday night after our short walk in the woods.

Wish I could have made it, but I was in Ouchita not two weeks earlier. We actually got caught out in that storm(temps dropped into the 20's the first night)....it was a nasty 6-7 mile hike through a mix of snow/hail/rain back to the car to end our trip early(temps were supposed to drop into the low teens the next night). Glad you guys had fun, hope to make it to the next one.

I wish I could have made it. Would have been nice to meet all y'all. I'm headed up there this weekend with the girlfriend and her family. They'll be in a tent; I'll be using the hammock for the first time in the woods. (This is coming out of left field, I know... I'm a lurker...)
