Need some help choosing a hammock stand

Last weekend I bought a hammock stand from bed bath and beyond. I have an Eno double nest and the stand did not work for it at all. The intial hand was super tight with no sag at all. This made the walls super high yet it still was loose in the middle. So it wasn't comfortable and felt like I was sleeping in a coffin. Then I added some lenght to get some sag and I just ended up with my butt on the floor. Needless to say I returned the stand.

So now I'm back to square 1. I need a stand that is large enough/tall enough that I can hang my double nest with some sag for a nice comfy hang.
Any reccomendations?I'm also looking at the kits. They proved the brackets and you supply the 4x4s. Any have these? Any good?

Ah yes just another product not available in the uk

It's always the same - you find something you'd like and sure as eggs are eggs you can get it no problem in the states, but just try getting the same thing over here, even when you can it's 3 times more expensive. God knows why we're so full of imigrants, who'd want to come here.

Sorry for the rant but it really p****s me off, i coudln't even get the decending rings.

Rant over good look with it.

Concerning the hammock stand kit above.... please read the reviews carefully. That stand is very unsatisfactory from what I can tell. It is sized for true 4x4 lumber not the 4x4 common available in lumberyards and home stores. The finished 4x4 commonly available is really 3.5x3.5 That makes for an extremely sloppy unsatisfactory fit. 'Taint worth the money as I read the reviews.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

True, but true 4x4s aren't difficult to find...just expensive. Shims are a cheap and easy fix for the problem. What I find more offensive is the cost! For what? About $15 worth of 11 guage steel. I just don't get it?

I agree... however shims are not an appropriate solution to the problem in my opinion. I've seen too many instances where shims come loose and slip. There is no reason those could not have been engineered to use standard dimensional lumber.

Between the bad engineering and the outrageous cost I still say 'taint worth the money.
