Thanks to Gresh for bailinf us out with our Shrimp run this year. Wando seafood went out of business and the shrimp cost at Shem Creek more than doubled. We almost had to resort to frozen shrimp.

I live but to serve, y'all. Just got done bagging 'em up and throwing them in the freezer (I fill a gallon size Ziploc 3/4 of the way full, fill the rest with water, and toss it in the freezer) and they'll be on The Island around 7pm on Friday (assuming an hour to get there from Ballentine and an hour to paddle out there).

Just got the ok from work, so I'll be coming in along with Timberrr and Gumbo(thanks guys!!). We'll be bringing fixings for bacon wrapped dates, a Florida Hang tradition that us "deep southerners" want to share with you "yankees". Can't wait to see you guys!!

Glad to hear you are coming Lilricky . . . and just for the record, note that I may live in SC but I was born and raised in Orlando. True Floridian (38 years worth) and not some "Yankee Transplant". I have left enough skin from the soles of my feet on the summer pavement because back in my school days it wasn't cool to wear flip flops... but you sure wished you had them when you got into a mess of sandspurs...

Thank you very much to those who have already donated to the Fire Pit Donation. Whether you are aware or not, this hang is looked upon very favorably by the Greenwood Lake Management Group and they are very appreciative of a group like ours that we "Give Back" to the island. So, speaking for me and I am sure Eric will agree, we look forward to placing yet another fire pit on the island again this year.

Thank you to all who have signed up to help bring equipment and food items. This can be quite a burden for a small handful of people to collectively put together on their own so we are very appreciative for the contributions towards the meals. That being said...we are still looking for people to assist with the final remaining items. If you have yet to sign up for a food item to bring and can do so, please use the "Sign Up Sheet" to let us know what you can help out with. We are getting to the final countdown before "Island Life..." so sign up very soon.

I am planning to be on the island around 10:00AM so if you arrive before then and you need a shuttle to the island, find yourself a Denny's, Waffle House, or IHop and have yourself a couple cups of Joe.
