    First sub zero hang

Like many other on HF the recent arctic blast has allowed me to set a new personal best low temp
This is a pic of my thermometer before bed last night.

Unfortunately the 24hr low reset itself before I got up to take a picture of it this morning. According to my local accuweather report, which I generally find to be within 1 degree + or - of my thermometer, I got down to -3 for a brief period very early this morning. I actually slept in a bit, which is a good sign as far as comfort goes.

Thanks to all HF members for all the tips, tricks, advice and inspiration. Embracing the winter is a lot more fun than dreading it.

Nicely done HT congrats on your new subzero PB.
On the Accurite if you pull the battery for 5 seconds it will reset the temps and restart the 24hr clock so that doesn't happen to you again.

    Solid gear list.
Really loving the HG Burrow. Opens up a whole new world of cold camping.
Congrats on getting out there to join the Sub 0 Club.

+1 on pulling the battery. And congrats! My coldest night is coming up tomorrow night. Projecting 8* with 30 mph gust and snow. Should put the windchill at -8 or so. I definitely would not be doing it without the help and tips of the forum.

I think you get a patch when going to the next level. The dreaded, or I mean, the much sought after...

    ....minus 25F club.

    -25*F. Ouch.

Great job on getting that PB and good luck tonight for going even lower. Be careful.

Here in my corner of Central Florida, it's forcasted at 28*F, a record low for this date, but my microclimate is usually a few degrees colder. My PB is 25*F at the 2nd Annual Florida Hang 2 years ago and I'm eager to see that thermometer in the morning.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
