I just wanted to give a shout out to all the wonderful people and cense of community that is found here. I recently won a book around Christmas time from canteen boy, just because he wanted to. I just wanted to say what a great place this is with such a wealth of knowledge and good people! The members here really go out of their way to help others and learn from one another.

Just doing my late night check and saw your thread. Noticed there were 10 views and no replies. You're right on all counts but some of us are trying to keep this a secret. Could you imagine what the world would be like if everyone was in on the secret.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I frequent a handful of forums, even some other hiking/outdoor ones, and this is by far the best 'community.'

I think about this very thing daily. Cheers to all who selflessly contribute on a daily basis for no other reason than to just do it. They share their ideas only to make someone else's experience better. I said this very early on when I joined, the atmosphere here if nothing else assures me that there is still much good in this very small world we live in.
