    Hello from Jeff

I decided to put this in the "General Hammock Talk" forum even though it could spur some discussion & suggestions on "summer weight half underquilts" & backpacks, including links to previous threads talking about such ideas.

I believe Jeff's personal computer time is limited, but I'll guarantee that he'll catch up on Hammock Forums as soon as he's able.

"Tim - Just checking in to see how things are going.

I just bought 2 backpacks a couple days ago! They should be waiting on me when I get back...the Gossamer Gear Murmur and Miniposa. I'm thinking the Murmur will fit Joker or my older son when they come along, and I'll take the Miniposa. Then I can take the Murmur when I go solo. I've been wanting a smaller pack for solo trips anyway, and since my Speed smells like apple cider from my Mt Rogers fall...haha, it was a good time for a new pack. Can't wait to play around with the external pad pocket on them. I also got two nightlight torso pads...one for each...to go under our legs with half-underquilts. Now I just need summer-temp half-underquilts! Been thinking about how to make that happen...maybe modding the Nest, then designing one from scratch.

I hung the Blackbird in my hooch. Have some time in it now and I like it a lot. Have just enough room to make the ridgeline tight and get a little bit of swing when I'm in there...rocking myself to sleep. Definitely the roomiest hammock I've been in, too...can't wait to get some field time with it. Really appreciate everyone who chipped in for it.

Other than that, just working hard and waiting to get back home. Tired all the time but the work is rewarding so I stay motivated.

Pass on my hellos to everyone and I can't wait to get back on the forum!

    Jeff"

Glad to hear that he is putting the BB to good use.
Here is wishing he gets to put it to use with his boys very, very soon

I've been wondering how Jeff was getting along. Glad to hear things are okay.
