UQP, one of my favorite pieces of gear. Take it on most trips unless it's warm.

I used my UQP just this past week. My Nest UQ is rated at 25 - 30F but temps were down around 15F. I would say the UQP did a nice job of extending the temp range of my UQ as I never once got CBS. I am very happy with my purchase and will carry it with me all the time.

    Mine arrived yesterday!

Already fitted to the hammock, prepped and ready to use.

It'll get it's first test next weekend!

I plan to order a UQP for mild weather use (above 40F) and would like some feedback from users.
I understand sil will have more condensation - but what temps? I like the idea of sil for multi-purpose use, but will condensation be an issue above 40F and medium relative humidity (just above dew point).
Also, anyone ever use it with a bottom entry HH? - my UQ works by pushing it off to the side to enter/exit - would the UQP work this way as well?
    Thank-you.

How tight is the under quilt protector supposed to be? I believe I had it too tight causing some minor squish this weekend possibly lowering my quilts warming capabilities.

I always make sure I have a little airspace between my sock and the underquilt.

Yes, compression of the underquilt is not good.

My understanding is that the best way to adjust it is to have someone in the hammock, and adjust the UQP while there is weight in there, making sure that you're not compressing the UQ in any fashion.

That's what I did...we'll see how it works this weekend.

After 2 nights @ low teens I would say an UQP is the best piece of gear per $ you can own. Easy to set up, take down & pack. Thanks Donna.
