    Cleaning Cuben Fiber

Is there a preferred method for cleaning cuben fiber tarps or can I simply treat like my old syl tarp? Gentle soap and water and a sprayer?

It's a substantial investment that I wish to extend the life of as much as possible.

After a trip I hang my cuben out to dry, and with a hose spray the tarp and with a paper towel or soft rag wipe off any bird droppings that always seen to land on my tarp as well any any other visible mess that found its way onto my tarp. Inspect the RL and Tie Outs to make sure its ready for my next trip. Wait for it to dry and fold loosely and store in a plastic bin drawer.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Hey!! I know I have issues, but I'm OK with it.

The CF tarp that I primarily use during the spring thru fall gets a nice sponge bath with woolite and warm water, then rinse. Just to clean the bird droppings and muck from the year. I also give the tarp a good inspection for rips, abrasions and check the lines.

    But thats just me.....
