One LAST Question before I order the BB

I had my order all written up to send Brandon yesterday when I realized that I have a dilemma whether to use a right or left foot box. It's necessary for me to lay on my left side when I sleep, in a hammock or in bed. Having only used the Speer IIIA I found it necessary to lay on a diagonal from right to left with straight legs, so I thought LEFT foot box. Then I realized that in a bed I bend my knees so that my feet actually go to the RIGHT. I set up the Speer yesterday and between it and the bed tried to simulate, but it won't work. So at this point I'm open to experiences and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I don't often sleep on my side in a hammock, but when I do I tend to roll so that I'm on my left side. I find it comfortable in the standard BB, but have not yet tried a 'lefty'. Hope it helps.

I have the regular BB. Lying in the hammock, the footbox and shelf are to my right. I sleep with my head to the left and feet in the footbox, knees pulled up a little. Not totally in the fetal position.

I've slept on both sides, but waking up with a wall of green in my face always freaks me out a bit so I try to sleep on the left side as much as possible.

I think that might be what you're looking for.

I think the BB is such a wide hammock that it really doesn't matter which way your feet curl when you lay on your side. The issue is which side your upper body is on- when I sleep on my side, I lay up against the side of the hammock so that the hammock not only supports my hips and shoulders, but my back as well. (That's what makes the hammock more comfortable than a bed) So, if I were to sleep on my left side, I would position myself up against the right side of the hammock, with my feet going over to the left side.

i think the standard would be better if laying on the left side because you'll have the zipper and the netting in front of you rather than behind you. get a lefty and you'd be faceing the wall which isn't as roomy feeling and less of a view

OK, I wanted to have the netting and zipper in front of me and if it takes a standard foot box to do it, that's the way I'll go. I can see that there would be a limit to the combinations of netting/zipper/footbox options. The order was just sent and I've joined the throng.

Brandon does mirror layout as an option. Talk to him about doing this.

If you don't like the footbox on whatever side you get, try sleeping with your head at that end (another bonus to the blackbird!). I actually like it better that way. I don't actually put my head in the footbox, I just sleep "backwards"
