How much did that cost? It reminds me of the DD jungle hammock, Or atleast I think it does with that support near where your head would be. You looked awfully cozy in it! Nice well written review : )

Alpine Hammock posted a pic on Twitter today where Outside Magazine mentioned them in an article. https://twitter.com/AlpineHammock

Look closely, and you can see the price tag @ $329. However, the OP got his during their Kickstarter campaign and may have gotten it cheaper...

    You can order here: www.alpinehammock.com

(And no, I have nothing to do with the Company, I'm just a Kickstarter investor. And actually I paid 400 $ for mine but got some extra stuff like water bottle and shirt with it. But if I had not made the investment the Kickstarter would have not succeeded - so no hard feelings.)

I've got one from the Kickstarter campaign also. I swapped the suspension system for some whoopies, and replaced the ventilation bungees with a continuous amsteel loop. With a prussik around the suspension whoopie and a micro beaner to the continuous loop I can easily adjust the tension on the ventilation as desired. Overall I really like mine, but agree, it is definitely different from the traditional hammocks.
