how would ya'll rate Mt Mitchell's trail traffic?

Ed Speer has hiked Mt Mitchell numerous times (read 20+). He told me at Trail Days that he hiked Mt Mitchell as training for his thru-hike. I have only hiked it once. It is a state park, so their rules apply. I was told that the only legal camping was at Commissary Ridge. Ed could tell you more.
