This was my first hang with the group. I must say, I was incredibly impressed with everyone I met. It was really nice to put some faces to names on the forum. The crew that puts this together deserves all the credit for making this such an event. We had over 100 people and no one left hungry. Heard last night got to 23* which is my coldest hang in a hammock so far. Thanks to Shug and Fronkey for their videos which have taught me a lot about how to stay warm. UGQ team was there representing. Their gear is superbly made and they are wonderful people. I appreciated them coming down from the cold north to show off their gear and donate a TQ to our raffle. Lastly, I was touched watching them and a few other couples renew their wedding vows on Saturday afternoon. It was a great weekend. Looking forward to next year already.
Sorry I missed it. This was my first. I hope it never happens again.
At least I'll make my deadline. Considering we just had another round of layoffs last week that's a good thing.

Home safe. Made the flight with only minutes left because as always it was so hard to say goodby to everyone. Good to meet so many of you that I've wanted to see and really great to see my old FH friends again! How about all of you come up for Trail Days in May!
Pics tp come...the river trips were awesome (Thanks Andy)!

Wow! Once again the Florida Hang never ceases to amaze. I've been so busy lately that work has gotten in the way of my forum life, so it was an extra special weekend for me to commune with all the dear friends that I have come to cherish over last four years. I sorely missed the few perennials who couldn't make it this year.

My first time with the group. Met some nice people and had a good time. Had to come back home so I only spent a night.
Myself, Luis and Sarah had a blast. I couldn't have hoped for a better birthday for Sarah on Saturday. Not often now days she gets to run around a play like a kid without parents worrying about her too much. I can't even fathom the logistics involved in running these events. I can't even get my own life in order. HA.
There was a great turn out of new faces and seeing the faces of friends is the only reason I go. We are one big family.

What an event!
When the detail reports roll in you will see:
1. Bananas Foster flambe cooked in a dutch oven. and aflame prior to consumption.
2. science fiction overhead views provided by the Drone (Amazon ,
Eat your heart out!!)
3. every hammock configuration know to mankind.
4. food pictures enough to ruin anyone's diet (without even eating). Once again, I brought food for each meal and took the same food back home.
5 Good friends, old and new. some even unmet because there were so many. (I'll talk to you next time if I missed you)
Thanks to everyone for making this the pleasure that it is.
If this isn't the best hammock gathering in the world, I don't know what is.
