? on using a sleeping pad in a dbl hammock

I made a double hammock and tried it out in the back yard. The hammock is a double layer and I want to use a sleeping pad between layers. I'm having a problem keeping the pad in one place, as I move around so does it. I am considering stitching the layers together to form a box to hold the pad. Anyone have a suggestion to stablize the pad? Thanks.

I had the same trouble in a double layer, at least with standard air pads which tend to be less tacky and want to move around more. If you get a thinner, more tacky ccf, and wider the better, then it won't move much.

Closed Cell foam pads...and good quality ones at that...will be more stable with less slip (as Dakotaross said) and if you get good ones they will be warmer too.

But for a inflatable that wants to move around a few dots of Silicone on the under side to give it some traction will go a long ways to keeping things in place.

Thanks. That looks like a good solution, rather than trying to modify the 1.1 double I made I may order some more material and add a "pocket" to the 1.6 single...thanks again.
