hi, New to the hammock hanging thing, but I think I am ready to try.
Welcome to you, and just to let you know, the Palmetto State Hangers are having a hang at Sesqui-Centennial State Park next weekend 24-26 Jan. Come hang with us, or just come by for the day if you like. It will be a great place to meet wonderful folks and learn about hammock camping and you can check out lots of gear. We like to show off our gear, and if you ask nicely we will let you try some out.
Come join us, we would love to meet you and help you get started.
If you can't make this one, keep an eye out for the next one.

Welcome from Philly.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.
Welcome to HF from Georgia! Get to SC group hang if you get the chance, lots of great folks in the Palmetto State.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Another welcome from South Carolina. Do come to any of our group hangs that Palmetto State Hangers put on (including the one at Sesquicentennial State Park next weekend) and get to know us and let us get to know you! It'll be great to have another local hanger, and you'll get to see other setups and get help with your own if you need it.
If you're on Facebook, click the link in my signature to get to our group on Facebook (several hangs are organized there and not here, though our big ones are still announced here). Feel free to PM me (or any other member of PSH) any time with any questions, and welcome to HammockForums.
I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.
