Gastar and I are planning to go hang there prior to the actual Spring Swing, to finalize details with the owner, do some initial site(s) recon, and check the condition of the place for the hang.

Let me know if you would like to get away for a night or two between now and the group hang!

We will try to get some pics of the place then as well.

Hi guys I've been offline for a while due to health issues and would like to get in on this if possible. Deciding factors would be health of course and how close I would be able to park to my site. But the fact that I haven't been out in the woods in over a year is driving me nuts and a big push towards me wanting to get to this if it is a car camp with on site parking. Thank you in advance for any information that could be given.

===> Hi Joe! I hope your health issues are stable! It IS car camping. We have yet to decide on which sites we would have access to, but are drive right up. We were there in about a foot of snow, and some access had not been plowed yet.

If you need any help carrying gear or anything else to a site, we are there for you! There may end-up being a short walk to the site - few hundred yards or so, depending on what we negotiate by then.

If you can come, please do! We can assist with whatever you need! We even have two highly qualified Nurses with us!

Thank you Skypainter as I said I have a huge amount of cabin fever right now and need to get out. I just missed the last hang got out of the hospital and did have enough time to get my gear cleaned and ready to go so as long as my back doesn't give out again and put me back in the hospital again I'm there gear is cleaned and packed and repacked ready to go thanks again

We're going to "try"adding a couple activities at this hang.

1) a gear swap N trade pile or tent
2) scheduled workshops (example knife and axe sharpening ,fire starting ,Tree identification etc)
If you want to volunteer to teach a class on something outdoorsy send me a pm More to follow.

Also I thought Gogrillz did an awesome job at narrating the hammock tour last time. If folks are interested we can do that again.

I think this is a great idea!! I'd be happy to do a live demonstration of the GOGRILLZ if you guys want, and the hammock tour.
