Do you guys think a bugnet will be needed for the hang. I know its still pretty cold but slowly warming up. I haven't made one yet so if I need one I better start working on it.
Cant wait for this hang!!

Here is the map of the campsite from the last time we winter camped there. The numbered sites are basically cleared out for ground dwellers, but there are over 700 acres of Virgin Pine Forest there. We can access it all. There is an indoor Rec Hall in case the weather is ridiculous. Couple of outhouses, real bathrooms, showers, playground for kids, a dog walk....stuff is available.
When I go up this coming week, I will try to hike as much of the property as I can, and then negotiate with the owner for sites/access and let everyone know what transpires.
Anyway, here are the map images. We camped in the trees on the left, marked in red.
We will probably need folks with pop-up tents to bring them if possible, and extra tarps and stoves would be great for the communal meal.

Alex,
At the rate we've been going, I'm thinking you aren't going to need a bugnet for early April. It's two week-ends away and I haven't seen a bug out yet and I take Charlie (Golden Retriever) for a walk every night.
I'm betting that you'll be OK without.
Look forward to seeing you there. Hope your Dad and brother can still make it.
All the best !

If anyone is interested, I can organize a short hike (2.9 miles) on Mt. Watatic. It offers nice views and is a very short distance from the hang.
