    Mule Tape Source

Does anyone know of a good source of mule tape where the shipping charge isn't half the cost of the tape? I am thinking of buying some mule tape to make loops similar to chain links to put on my Clark hammock. The mule tape loops will hook over dutch buckles on 15' tree straps. There are some fairly cheap sources on ebay but I'd rather not pay 6 dollars for mule tape and 5 dollars to ship it.

You could probably buy it new from local electrical suppliers. Or call local electrical contractors and see if they will give you used tape.

Find a telephone company crew, especially one installing underground cable. It often comes preinstalled in conduit to pull the wire through. They often throw it away once the wire is in.

Check, City Electrical Supply, Graybar, and Grainger. But like others have said calling an electrical contractor. You might have better luck asking for the installation or service manager as opposed to letting the receptionist direct you. Used it will most likely need cleaning from the lubricants used to aid in pulling the wire.
