    Eno Ember knock off

I tried an eno ember underquilt recently. It was one of the new ones, with the split ends but did not have the fasteners down the top to fasten it together into a pod so I returned it.

I like the setup a lot but the Eno is heavy.
I have a lot of M50 sitting here and I was thinking about building a knockoff only 5' wide out of 3.9oz Apex with fasteners down the top.

With M50 and 3.9 Apex 5'x9' cut like an Eno Ember the weight of the shell and insulation alone would be 18 oz. I figure another 3-4 oz or so for the hardware.

    Anybody do anything similar ?

This is the one that I tried.
It has split ends but no ties on top.

This is the old style with fasteners on top.
