    2014 was a great year to thru-hike the AT. It took me a while (26th March - 10th October), but this was by design as I didn't want it to end. I started hammocking from Hot Springs (I bounced my hammock gear there) and hammocked from then on all the way. It got cold in Maine, but I got a zero rated underquilt from hammock gear that was toasty. Best bit was the 100 mile wilderness. The colours were awesome.
    I finding re-entry a bit of a drag, and am starting to think about the PCT!
