Last trip, we ran out of food and had to spend the last night up at the state park so we could hit the restaurant. The boy does not break 100 lbs soaking wet but can eat like a horse.

I have been reading this forum for some time now, but have not posted much. I have been itching to attend one of these hangs to see what they are all about. Does everyone generally know everyone at these hangs or are there a lot of new faces each time?

Hey man some of us know each other, some pretty well, but not all of us know each other so come along. We are a great group of people that are always looking to include a new member. Plus you're a climber so you and I will get along great.

Most all of us met at a hang like this, so come on out. We always have some new faces show up, great way to check out how other people hammock camp and a fun time as well.

Yea man, I have met some awesome people on this hang in particular. You should definitely come check it out. You'll have a blast and maybe even learn something. I always learn something from these guys plus it's cool seeing everyones gear. I always return from this hang wanting to buy something new, I love it!

I really wish myself and Mandydawn could make this hang. Unfortunately we are both working that weekend and really do miss hanging at Cheaha. Look forward to seeing y'all in the fall if we are able to do so. Enjoy the area and have a great time hanging out!

Been missing y'all at the hangs Bigbama. Hope to see you back soon. We will definitely be doing more later in the year. Hoping to bring a couple of newbies along on this one, at least I am extending the invite to them.

Ok awesome!!! I'm really going to try and come, it will be nice to meet local people that like to hang. I may try and bring my girlfriend as well. Just curious what is the age demographic like at these hangs?

    Got that right.

    Rakhan,
My wife and I got to go to this last one at Cheaha. Got to meet some good folks and got a huge education from the more experienced hammockers. Ages? Seasoned folk (like me ...50's) down to young'ns (like Squidbilly's boys...teens). My wife was the only lady there, but the fellows attending were gents. We hope to make this next one again, but my work seldom allows advanced plans.

Fairly easy access from parking area. Matter of fact I saw some of those younger fellows hauling coolers.
