I really did not know anything about hammock camping until several years ago. I took my teenage brother-in-law with me on a short trip in the Q. I had all the equipment etc. and assumed he would share the tent with me. Instead he pulled out a HH Expedition bottom entry and hung it between 2 trees. Huh? Anyhow, I still never thought about doing it myself until he handed that old HH down to my son. We went camping one weekend and my son insisted on using the hammock. It worked out well for him. I eventually came around to buying hammocks for my other son and myself. Another HH Expedition, and HH Deep Jungle XL. Then, we started to tinker with the suspension etc. Now we use our hammocks when we go backpacking and on scout trips. We still use our tent when we go into the Q.
