    Was not really cold enough to even need the sock, and this year I had a 0 deg UQ from HG, and a 0 deg bottom from UGQ Hope to see you in 2015

    had a great time...
    Lots of differant techniques for down hill on snow shoes I see .

    Ive been practiceing guys . Trying to get a mile or two everyday but not attempting any cliffs yet .

    Your right Lonetracker, TZ always seems to pop up when you need him .

    Course we need guys like you too . Back in the infantry we used to call the big strong guys Heavy Duty . Those were the guys that humped the extra ruck if somebody was injured or just plain exhausted .

    Im trying to master snowshoes and Im torn between the sliding downhill descent or the creeping down on your butt method .

    It's unusually cold here at home so I checked the temps at Grayson Highlands State Parks weather cam in VA.

    -13F was the low for the hang. -2 on Wed night with a pretty good wind

    It's colder there now and winds also. Pretty tiring when you have deep cold and winds, not everyone would have had as much fun for sure
