SOLD: Ogee Tarp

I am selling my beloved Ogee. I have to let it go because I purchased a Superfly. Since they fill a similar need I have to make room in my gear closet. This is the original Ogee in Coyote Brown made by Gargoyle. It has an 11ft ridgeline one way and 14 if you hang it the long way. I was told that it weighed 15 oz. before seam sealing and guy lines (didn't personally weigh it). The seam sealing and guy lines are included of course (all 10 of them) along with a silnylon stuff sack. The guy lines are shock corded ends tied onto 6 foot lengths of yellow Zing-It with prussics on the tarp side for tension adjusting from the hammock. This is a really sweet piece of kit. I can tell you that it is very well made and with all of the different ways you can set it up, it is bombproof weather protection for your hammock. Unfortunately Gargoyle has stopped making tarps. I haven’t seen very many of these come up for sale and I might very well regret selling mine. Perfect condition!

The first time I saw posts about this tarp deign I was put off by the number of tie-outs. When I finally saw one, I realized that in its basic setup there's one tieout on each side and a single tieout at each end. This gives bombproof weather protection. I am now the proud owner of an Ogee tarp, and I occasionally use those other tieouts for "verandah," "chalet" or "Taj Mahal" modes, but the quick and easy simple setup is one of the best.
