Pulling back a fronkey bug net

I am considering doing a DIY Fronkey-style bugnet, but have one little detail that I am having a hard time visualizing. In hammocks with built-in nets, it is easy to cinch up the net and pull it out of the way. But the nature of the fronkey net seems to be that this cannot be done. Has anyone here come up with an ingenious solution to this issue?

I make one end fixed and one end has a draw string closure. When I want to go sans bug net, I open up the closure end and slide it over my hammock. It then will reside in the attached bishop bag at either the head or foot end of the hammock.

I see what you mean...but I'm having a hard time visualizing the specific dimensions -- how big do you cut the hole? do you think you could send me a diagram or a pic of yours?

I will try and get something a picture or something together this weekend and upload it. I don't have any thing right now that I can get up on the forums.

I made one (that I used with an Eno Doublenest like yours) on which I reinforced the ends with cross grain to prevent ripping, and simply slipped one end over the empty hammock kinda like a snakeskin. It was a little tight but not really a problem. Realize that it couldn't be done with items in the hammock such as pads or quilts, or in the middle of the night while in the hammock.
I like the idea of the gathered end with a draw string like Chickenwing's or elastic. I thought of using Velcro, but decided against using it on No-seeum netting, as it can stick to it and possibly rip it.
I would recommend going ahead and making a Fronkey net, as they are so easy and inexpensive to make and use. I found that I could leave the bottom closure un-cinched without mosquito intrusion. Very easy to enter or exit.

I made one with 18" of omni tape on one end. Piece of cake.

This worked for me hanging in the river bottom in Arkansas last spring.

This is my Easiest Bug Net Ever:

Will test an UL version today, using half the material. There are no mosquitos in the dead of winter, of course, but I need to check the physical dimensions.

MDSH....Mike, I like the simplicity of your "EBNE". I still need to make a bug net. I wondered about the stitching part. Did you just sew the bugnet plain or did you use something like grossgain along the edges? Also, do you have problems with critters climbing up the part that is on the ground?
    Thanks
