This is my first outing with my XLC 1.1dbl. I loved it, very comfortable. I was overly obsessed with getting the hang angle right, kept using my Iphone to check the angle. It said it was at 29/30 degrees, but it didn't quite seem right though. I don't think I was quite high enough off the ground either (a few inches away under load).
I tied some reflective paracord to the inside and outside zipper. On the inside zipper I used a really long cord (3 feet or so). The inside cord was a mistake, it was too long and got in the way.
The first night I slept with a Thermarest memory foam pillow. The second night I ditched the pillow as I didn't like the angle it put my neck at.
The weather was high's during the day up to 50+ degrees but the night were under 30 degree. I stayed warm in my Marmot 0 degree bag, on top of my thermarest sleep mat. I only wore boxers, socks (part of the time), tshirt, wool shirt, and a knit cap.
I know I need practice on getting the angles right quicker and not so precisely but I am loving my XLC! It was the right choice for me!
Thank you WarbonnetGuy!!
