I'm looking for the best option for a winter under quilt for a warbonnet blackbird.
I looked at JRB and I wasn't clear if it was overkill or not. I'd like something 800-900 fill power.
I'm SURE this has been answered before though :-P

Plenty of great quilts out there, but I think the consensus is going to be the Hammock Gear Incubator. That is what I use with my Blackbird.
I have a Hammock Gear Incubator 20* and Arrowhead Equipment New River 20*. Both seem to fit my WBBB very well and keep me as warm or warmer than advertised!
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I love my 20 degree Incubator on my WBBB.

Wow... great feedback guys.. I hadn't heard of the incubator.
I too use the 0* Winter Incubator on my BB and have nothing but excellent things to say about the fit. However, this past weekend I had the chance to meet Missy and Paul with Underground Quilts at the Florida Hang and also got to see some of their quilts. They also make a very fine quilt and with a little research on your part, you may find some differences that may lead you in one direction over another. Both are great cottage vendors and this is also to include JRB and Arrowhead as quality vendors.
Your question can lead to many different answers from any individual. Best to identify the possible vendors that meet your needs and decide based on what your needs are. Can't go wrong with any of the above vendors.
Good luck and happy waiting !

i have 6 of JRB quilts. the Mt Wash 4 is my go to quilt for winter. as far as what hammock you have i don't think it makes a difference.

I have used UGQ full and 3/4 length quilts and they fit great on my WBBB and Dream Hammock Darien.
I've been using a 0F HG Incubator on both my WBBB and WBXLC. It has been getting the job done, for the most part.
HOWEVER, I'm kind of wishing that it didn't have this "shelf" feature -- whereby there is a bit less insulation in the legs and there is a definite indentation where your butt and back should be. The problem is that if you should move a bit towards the foot end of the UQ, your butt could move a bit up on the leg shelf, causing a cold spot under your back.
So I'm wondering if the UGQ Zeppelin would be a better product? It doesn't have the leg shelf feature. Haven't tried a Zeppelin, though.
