If you don't need a dual layer to place a pad in, you can save a few ounces with a SL 1.7. That should also work fine at 185 lbs.

    Great looking setup as always!

BTW, Te-wa quilts rock! Had it out last weekend in some icy cold and windy weather up at ~11K ft and it kept me toasty warm. An unbelievable amount of loft for 12.65oz. Now I'm gonna have to go buy one for my wife

I better get my new order in soon, it looks like Te-wa quilts are going on back order

    Thanks Drewboy,
I have been told the same thing before. I am going to try a some of this walmart stuff with single layer first and if I feel that it is stretching too much I will add another. If THAT is too heavy I will just sell it or something and get some 1.7 stuff.

I also used Mike's directions to make my quilt and they were quite easy to follow.

aww, crap. I should have never given down quilt directions, just a simple "they're too hard to make, buy one from me" story. yeah, thats the ticket.
