Exclamation Great deal on Easton Nanolite poles

I thought these were a good deal at $19.99 but now they're on sale for $17.99 shipped. There appear to be 26 13" Easton Nanolite poles made into 3 assemblies, 2 10 piece and a 6 piece. They're listed at new.

When they arrive I'll have to figure out which of the 4 different pole mods I've thought of I want to try first.

I bought this same set. I still haven't got any of the ends to come out. They are nice poles. A couple of the ends showed some oxidation but nothing major and not the reason the ends won't come out.

I ordered last night at the "higher" price.

I also received what I think are the same poles as the 89 3/4" ones in your listing.

In an earlier post, the poster wondered how the end fittings were held in place so I took one apart. The shock cord is held by a washer and knot that catches on the connector insert and the end fitting is a tight compression fit that I didn't think I would be able to pull without damage to the fitting. My answer was to cut the end off and split the tubing with a sharp chisel...

Edit...Dammfast, you posted while I was typing. So that "earlier poster" was you?

gmcttr, I think I'm still not quite getting how these are held together. I get that the silver end part is held in by being a really tight fit. Not quite sure what the washer and knot are catching on though.

A connector insert is put on the shock cord with washer and knot and then pressed into the tube section. The washer OD is larger than the insert's ID. Consider the connectors as not removeable.

Got it. I was thinking that it interacted with the grommet tip somehow.

Thanks for the eBay find. Just ordered 2 sets. I will have some nice "pole mod" kits for the PIF thread

My poles came today. They seem to be new like they said. There are a few spots that seem to have rubbed against other poles, but I'm sure we all create those pretty quickly anyway. The pic is the full bundle of 3 poles. Now I need to get to work moding my tarp

Mine finally arrived today too. UPS kept them a few extra days in Georgia due to the horrific winter storm down that way.

Forgot about that thing. Looks like the seller ships from Macon.
